6,000,000 notes for the 6,000,000 lives innocently taken.

“You may be gone, but you will be heard, and you WILL NOT be forgotten.”

Let’s go.

Each note represents a life innocently taken.

i’m normally not into guilt tripping people into reblogging things, but i seriously just cannot understand why anyone wouldn’t reblog this? it’s a simple text post, yet it means so much.

This got to me a bit.

Wow.

The Matthew Shepard one got me.

Actually crying.

Happy 121st birthday Mary Pickford - April 8, 1892.

“It would have been more logical if silent pictures had grown out of the talkie instead of the other way around.”

Happy birthday upon birthdays to my favorite actress of all time! Her legacy will live on in all of our hearts. 121 years of enriching this world with her gorgeous smile. She was the queen of film itself, silent or otherwise!

Dreams - Fleetwood Mac

Rumours (1977)

I can’t decide if it’s this specific song or Fleetwood Mac’s entire sound that I remember pulsating through my childhood memories, but either way I’m feeling very nostalgic listening to this.

My absolute favorite album <3 <3

Mary Pickford as the protagonist of Dorothy Vernon of Haddon Hall (1924) a silent movie set in the Elizabethan era.

I found this vintage postcard at the Silent Film Festival in Pordenone (Italy). The costume is the same she wore in the movie poster.

(If you have no idea who Mary Pickford was, you could read this article from Debbie Reynolds’ website: part one, part two, part three)

I CAN’T wait to see this in a theater on Friday!
